Upcoming Photography Course

Saturday June 5, 2010 - Outdoor Photography Workshop 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Thursday June 10 - Image discussion 7:00 - 9:00 at the studio

This workshop, combined with a critique, will take you from theory to practice in real situations. Participants will gather at either Beveridge's Locks or Poonamalie Locks (TBA closer to the date). We'll take what you've learned about using your camera and apply it to everyday shooting, exploring the effects of shutter speed, aperture and ISO on the final image. We'll also spend time on composition and looking for better angles to make your images more dynamic.

The Image discussion session on the following Thursday will consist of each participant picking their three favourite images from the Workshop. We'll display them all on a monitor, have a photo contest, and then suggest ways that images could be improved.

This will be suitable for photographers with either Point and Shoot or Digital SLR cameras. Participants will be expected to have a working knowledge of their cameras.

What to Bring: Camera with memory card/stick and a fully charged battery, extra lenses if you have them, aux flash (optional), hat, comfortable shoes and bug spray, water and snack if get hungry or thirsty.

Cost: Total cost for Workshop and Critique is $99.00 (taxes included)
